Zentu's Card Review #4 - Exodius The Ultimate F. Lord

-Before I begin, I'm aware this card is and can be used to win via/ Discarding all 5 Exodia pieces into the grave. In this review, I want to express this cards other possible uses.

Even w/o ALL the pieces of the forbidden one, this card still has its massive attack point gain for every normal monster in your grave, this card gains 1000 extra attack points., If you use a Normal monster Deck , simply equip this monster with Mist body and Shooting star bow, for massive wallops of direct damage.

-Dispite aphearances, this card like the 5 exodia parts, happens to be a spellcaster, Worse case secernio you could use magical dimension on this card to swap it out for another caster in your hand.

Being a Dark Attribute monster, you woun't half to worry about the Ally of Justice Catastor getting in your way.

- Although not very practical...but useful if you have the LP to spend, You can special summon this card, then normal summon a Tuner monster. then follow up by playing the magic card, Star blast, to reduce Exodius Level by a desired ammount... But you need 500 Lp per Level you wish to take away. and of course Exodius is a Spell Caster so you can Synchro the Spell Caster Synchro monsters.

- This Card can be a great way to extend the lasticity of any LightSworn Deck, Since to special summon Exodius requires you to take All monsters from your grave back into your deck. and if the opponets Field is Empty...say..Due to Judgement Dragon, you can have Exodius attack to send Wulf from the Deck to the grave. Thus dealing 5100 pts of Damage.

- Anyway...Those are all the uses I can think of atm. If you all have more uses for it please be sure to share your thoughts.

Hmm, We can use Gemini Monsters too instead of Normal Monster since it's treated as normal in Graveyard.

We could use Difussion Wave Motion when there are 5 monsters on the opponent monster to get 5 exodia pieces to Graveyard for OTK

There are cards that can send alot of cards to the graveyard such as
Snake Rain ---> 4 normal reptile
Future Fusion ---> 5 normal Dragon (FGD)
Fiend Comedian (If we guessed it wrong only ^-^,)

Also, if we special summoned Exodius then summoned Calculator it could get an easy 3000 ATK

i have used exodius in a lightworn deck and it can be really helpful as you can bring out a wulf and also when it gets destroyed you get a replenished deck which can be good but not so good for a jd summon other then that its a sweet card

-Wow I never thought of that. Of course, Exodius would need to have Mist body, or Be strong enough to begin with, to pull that off, and if theres no threat of a facedown

This card is awesome.
I've built a deck totally based around it (Ichi knows something about that xD).
It's really sweet if used in a deck which runs Lightsworns, ONLY as a discarding/draw engine...I got this big guy at more than 7000 many times lol :D
Also, if you play Card Blocker or Card Trooper after summoning Exodius you can keep him alive and boost its attack (Card Blocker's effect sends up to 3 cards from the top of your deck to the grave AND can switch the target of your opponent's attack to him).

P.S. Thanks for reminding me about this card, I'm gonna tech it everywhere now lol

hey good threat here zentu. You beat me plenty of times with this card. Good work man. Normal Monsters FTW (supported by Effect Monsters!) uhh lol

THis card is great, However, personaly I don't use it to discard Exodia parts, Why? well , as great as Exodius is....he is not the Same as Exodia Necross, and their fore can be killed by spells and traps. If I were to discard parts only to have Exodius Be sent away...then its just wasted effort. ....

-However, An exodia deck with say...2 or 3 copys of this card can be quite nice.

By late game, you could have a deck with mainly monsters in it (most of which should be normal, and if you have heart of the Underdog on the field....well, I don't half to tell you lol

Quite the useful thread. Thanks Zentu for putting in the effort for all of this. I've always been curious as how to run Exodius to its fullest potential. I'll have to go build a deck sometime.

Zentu 02-10-2010 09:15 AM

Hey, No problem, I'm glad it worked out for you.

Between all the different Exodia incarnations, I can't place why this one is wereing black. or the fact, Exxod is a Light Rock type.

Adam-Reno 02-12-2010 09:30 AM

needle bug nest might be a decent card to have in the deck.

When i first seen this card i never looked twice i thought it was just another situational card.

Gave it some more considerate thought after seeing some of these post and the diffusion wave motion OTK is a very scary thing that i hope i don't see
