GB Small Stuck In The Past Or Too Stuck To Step Back?

By the title (i'll give example(s) ), are you one of those types that has to have something new and shocking, or are you one of the types that uses old decks / revamps of old decks / strategies.

Example

Too Stuck to Step Back

Since This guy came out, He's become a "Staple" for many decks, easy and fast Synchro Strategies are available, but some still insist on using the same top-meta deck build (Burial From the different Dimension, Mezuki and just abusing it's effect).

Stuck In The Past

One of the oldest cards in the game, Black Skull Dragon, During The Season SEPT 09 - DEC 09, i saw A LOT of these decks popping up, using B.Skull in combination with things like Deck Devastation Virus and Dragons Rage (for a truly annoyin duel).

Don't get me wrong, both the new and old deck strategies are awesome, this is just to ask your opinions and experiences and how through your YGO carrer, you've adapted (or not as the case may be).

Post your thoughts below guys (we should get some interesting responses in this subject).

Thanks in Advance

I go both ways. I have my reasons. I choose to explore new decks to gain more experience. As for old decks, I usually use those to catch opponents off guard, but also because I'm not a "out with the old, in with the new" type of girl. Theres just some old decks that I still remain loyal to. I suppose I'm just an old school person.

Me i'll likely go through the old style for a while. I'll more than like play with tuners and synchro after a while but probably not at 1st. More than likely revamp old decks with new cards.

I was like that before yeah, until i had an In-Depth discussion with a few people, and they gave me some really good insights into Synchros and Tuners. (i'm always a PM away, if people need help y'know)

(uh-oh forgot too add my opinion)

I change on-the-fly from day to day, anyone i duel regularly knows this.
I'm also quite partial to going back every so often and using my Gaia The Dragon Champion deck, (yes i do use one) i think i used it in one of the Early Duelcity Showdowns.

I'm sort of in the middle. I only like to play my water deck, but will play a burn or exodia once in a blue moon. I just have no desire to use anything else. It's my build and my favorite deck. I have updated my IRL deck with tuners and synchros, but for the most part its my old water deck that I have used for years now.
Just my opinion, doesn't mean anything.

i think being in between is the best because it will allow you to utilize all the cards and make alot of interesting and strong decks also it will make the deck more versitile in fighting other deck types

I'm very excited about the Synchro stuff, maybe cause I just like them and I'm ignorant on exactly how much it will change the game. Therefore, I like playing my new plant deck or my demise geartown or my synchro monarchs.

On the other hand I often play ygo2 not only to use non synchro decks, but to use very old school decks. Or I try to revamp old decks with a few tuners or new support like Yubel.

So not to drag this out, it really all depends on the mood swings.

Well, as a high-tech dude - you can guess my answer. xD Give me new cards every day!! I do play some old decks now and then - but yeah, I usually go with the shiny new things.

Well, the New monsters and by which I mean Tuners and Synchros... are what I generaly prefur. Aside from needing the right Levels, If I got 2 or more Synchros of the same LV, I can decide which one to call forth depending on the stituation

I'm stuck in the past, still trying to catch up on the new stuff. I just recently learned about Synchros a few months ago :/
